JOE BIDEN for PRESIDENT?

INTRODUCTION

Joe Biden is the 2020 Democrat alternative to Donald Trump.   It’s therefore important for voters to know what they’re getting if they vote for Vice-President Joe Biden.  Let’s take a look…

“Everyone likes Joe Biden personally”…that’s probably why he’s doing well in Mainstream Media’s suppression  polls.  Likability is usually the most important factor in explaining why one presidential candidate is elected over another who is less likable.  However, obviously there are many other attributes and factors that are far more important than likability.  A candidate’s positions on domestic/financial and foreign policy I believe are the most important factors, and honesty is the most important attribute.  Let’s look at “honesty” first.

HONESTY

The scandal concerning Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, has been in the news since “The New York Post,” the Nation’s oldest newspaper reported it a few weeks ago, telling how Hunter gained large sums of money from a Ukraine energy company and the Chinese government.  Since then, many emails, documents, and photos from Hunter’s laptop were found at a Wilmington, Delaware computer repair shop by the shop’s owner when he became suspicious and looked on Hunter’s computer’s hard drive.  Although Joe denied knowing anything about Hunter’s activities, emails on Hunter’s laptop  show that he did.  Though this entire affair was said to be Russian disinformation,  the Bidens have not denied that the laptop and all of its contents were Hunter Biden’s.  Finally, one of the emails from Hunter says that:  “…and I won’t ask you for half, like the Big Guy (Joe Biden).  Peter Sweitzer exposes much of this corruption in his books, “Profiles in Corruption” and “Secret Empires.”

FOREIGN POLICY

Looking at foreign policy, Joe Biden has repeatedly supported or advocated foreign policy that has ended up hurting the United States, including the Obama-Biden policy of placating Iran and letting it have $150 billion to slow down its nuclear bomb program for ten years.   Moreover, the policy of  bringing all of our troops home early from Iraq was incompetently mishandled  by Obama-Biden not pursuing the Memorandum of Agreement with Iraq which would have enabled our troops to orderly leave as Iraqi troops took their place.  When our troops consequently quickly left Iraq, after President told everyone when we would leave and the enemy would therefore know they could simply outwait us, ISIS returned and even established a Caliphate (large of area of land) which remained strong until Trump became president, delegated authority to his generals and created combat “Rules of Engagement” which allowed our troops to quickly prevail and destroy the Caliphate…this after building back up our military after Obama decimated it.

The Obama-Biden Administration was antagonistic to Israel and could not make peace in the Middle East.   On the other hand, President Trump finally was able to  secure peace (the “Abraham Accords”) between Bahrain, United Arab Emigrates, Sudan and Israel.  I only mention Trump to demonstrate that a treaty was possible all along but simply needed great leadership.

DOMESTIC/FINANCIAL POLICY

The Democrat Party and Joe Biden have moved far left to accommodate the activist Far-Left of their Party.  Consequently, Biden has adopted many far left positions, such as eliminating all fossil fuels and supporting variations of the very expensive and useless “New Green Deal.”  Another really bad idea supported by the Democrat Party is the elimination of Charter Schools, which are the only hope for many African-American children to receive a good education.  Of course there is Biden’s opposition to the Trump tax cuts which fueled the return to the U.S. of many companies that had moved overseas because of the extremely high (37 %) corporate tax rates taxes, as well as significant cuts in individual taxes for 90% of taxpayers.  Biden has promised to raise taxes.  In addition, Biden’s political party has severely hurt African-Americans by fostering dependency that has led to 77%  of Black children being born without fathers in the home which consequently has led to very high rates of Black crime.

CLOSING

No doubt that vice-president Joe Biden is a very nice person as well as being a good husband and father and will receive votes because of this.  However, the presidency of the United States today needs much more than a nice person…it needs someone tough for these tough times to stand up to China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, etc. as well as someone with a proven record of getting things done and pursuing helpful policies instead of the  harebrained policies of the Far-Left.

PRESIDENT TRUMP’S FIRST TERM ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Whether you agree or disagree with what President Trump is doing, there is little disagreement that he has done a lot since being sworn in as President on January 20, three years ago.  If you disagree, you probably have either not been paying attention or have been only watching CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, or MSNBC, since those T.V. stations usually do not report the positive actions the President has taken or downplay/twist his accomplishments.  To help remedy this situation, I’ve  compiled a partial list of the President’s accomplishments so far:

1. Created the largest reduction in Federal income tax rates that the U.S. has ever had for both people and businesses, leading to the largest economic boom the U.S. has ever seen.  This has resulted in the lowest unemployment rates ever for African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, and Asian-Americans, and an overall unemployment rate of 3.5%.  It also has meant about 10% increase in wages to the lowest-paid workers and a total increase to average American families of about $10,000 and larger revenues from Federal taxes because of the vastly-increased economic activity.

2. Revised Obamacare and is replacing it with much better and less expensive healthcare insurance.

3. Ordered and signed hundreds of Executive Orders largely directing various Federal agencies to eliminate job-killing regulations.

4. Withdrew the United States from the do-nothing “Paris Climate Accords,” thus preventing billions of taxpayer dollars being transferred to other countries.

5. Selected two “originalist”  judges to the Supreme Court and about 180 Federal judges.

6. Coerced NATO members to add $140 billion to their previous donations to NATO.

7. Decreased illegal immigrant border crossings by 73%, thus improving the lives of legal immigrants as well as the poor since illegal aliens will work for “starvation wages” and thereby drastically lower the wages employers offer to unskilled workers.

8. Dow Jones Industrial Average increased in value by over 40% since he was elected on November 8, 2016.

9. Enabled the U.S. to become “energy-independent” by significantly increasing oil, gas, and coal production, thus freeing it from mid-east oil.

10. Met with numerous heads of State (like Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Japan, England, Germany, Italy, etc.) to improve relations.

11. Re-established the United States as the world leader by bombing a Syrian airfield when Syria used chemical weapons against its citizens.

12. Destroyed the ISIS caliphate by delegating authority to the Secretary of Defense and removing Obama’s  “Rules of Engagement.”

13. Significantly increased military spending in FY ’18, ’19, and ’20, thus vastly improving the military’s  combat-readiness.

14. Re-negotiated trade agreements (NAFTA) with Mexico and Canada to make it fairer to the United States.

15. Approved the completion of both the Keystone and Dakota Access oil pipelines, thereby preventing the more dangerous train and trucking of the oil.

16. Cancelled U.S. participation in the very flawed and harmful-to-the-U.S. Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

17. Withdrew the U.S. from the Iranian nuclear deal and imposed a “maximum pressure” campaign on it that has forced Iran to curtail its funding of its terrorist proxies.

18. Negotiated a trade deal with china to curtail Chinese tariffs, add American tariffs, and stop Chinese theft of American intellectual property.

19. Built about 100 miles of 30-ft. high wall on our southern border and is scheduled to build another 300 miles by the end of 2020 to curb illegal immigration, narcotics, and human trafficking.

20. Withdrew from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty with Russia so as to compete with China, who has heavily invested in these weapons.

I’ve only listed a sampling of the Trump Administration’s achievements. Last I looked, there’s a few hundred things that have improved the lives of Americans and the United States.  Since I have been following politics starting in 1960, beginning with the Kennedy-Nixon debates, I’ve never seen any President do more or work so hard in his first term than President Trump.  President Trump has become a genuine “Jobs President.”  His policy positions are superb for the United States and his “in-your-face” and negative campaigning style I believe were instrumental in Donald Trump becoming President Trump.  If he continues to improve in being more prudent in choosing the words he uses in his tweets and comments, I believe he will change many hearts and minds of Independents and Moderate Democrats and will be re-elected in 2020 by a landslide…and perhaps become one of the greatest President in U.S. history.
